    Teaching & Training

    DISCUSSIONS: The main teaching / learning activity will be discussed. These will be focussed on Clinical situation arising in the family practice and will cover the specific topics as well as subjects of topical interest.

    CASE PRESENTATIONS: The candidate will be required to present to the Programme Director, cases of clinical interest for discussion. The record of such cases will be maintained in the logbook.

    FAMILY PROFILE: The candidates will be required to study the family profiles under the charge of Programme Director and will be required to maintain records at least of the two families in the logbook.

    CASE HISTORIES: The candidates will be required to record eight case histories (Two each of Medicine, Paediatrics, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology).

    MEDICAL & SURGICAL PROCEDURES: A candidate will maintain a record of the procedures performed, assisted or observed in the logbook.

    EMERGENCY / DOMICILIARY VISITS: A record of emergencies attended and domiciliary visit made to be maintained.

    RECORD OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES: LOGBOOK
    As per guidelines given by NBE

    THESIS: As per the guidelines of National Board of Examination the candidates are required to submit a thesis at the end of three days of training as per the rules and regulations of the board. Subject will be decided as per consultant guide approval by the NBE within the prescribed time.


    About national board of exam

    National board of examination was established in 1975 with the primary objective of improving the quality of Medical Education by elevating the level and establishing standards of Post Graduate Examinations in Modern Medicines on all India basis. There are more than 149 recognised Medical Institutes in the country. The Board at present conducts Postgraduate & Postdoctoral examination in 54 disciplines approved by board for the award of Diplomate of National Board.
